Description
For use outside the MRI room. The unit allows the operator to distinguish ferromagnetic from non-ferromagnetic materials. It is highly sensitive and can detect the smallest ferromagnetic objects both outside and inside the body. The unit is especially helpful for screening non-ambulatory patients and patients who are not capable of answering the MRI Safety questionnaire.

Additional Information
- Power: 9V rechargeable (non-lithium) battery NiMH (some 9V alkaline batteries may be also used).
- Battery life varies with battery type, manufacturer and usage (typically 60 minutes actual scan time with NiMH).
- The green ‘on’ LED indicates that sufficient battery power is available to continue patient/staff FMD scanning.
